Risk of overdose
Overdose may occur when taking too much cocaine and when taking a small amount, but in combination with alcohol or other stimulants. Here are some of the symptoms:
• Arrhythmia and very fast heartbeat (tachycardia),
• Anxiety; panic; paranoia,
• Aggression,
• Acute psychosis,
• High blood pressure; high temperature; overheating,
• Tremor; teeth grinding; dystonia (involuntary limb movements and muscle contractions); muscle spasms; seizures,
• Rhabdomyolysis (breakdown of muscle tissue and release of large amounts of muscle myoglobin protein in the blood, leading to serious kidney damage and death),
• Death caused by a heart attack or severe arrhythmia.
People with a cardiovascular diseases, diabetes or epilepsy are in higher risk.
